Dr. Bree owns and operates an independent private practice that specializes in the treatment of complex trauma and traumatic grief and loss. Her practice is now embedded in the Magnolia Harbor Carefarm and allows for the therapeutic process to be facilitated by the healing green space of nature and human-animal connection.

Dr. Bree is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), certified Compassionate Bereavement Care (CBC) provider, certified Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) provider and has specialized training in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Circle of Security, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and Play Therapy. She earned her Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of West Florida. Dr. Bree is the co-founder of Camp Missing Piece, a bereavement camp for children and adolescents in Pensacola, Florida. She previously served as a lead clinician with the Second Alarm Project, a multi-university and state-wide research project in the state of Florida that is focused on the unique needs specific to the first-responder community.

In conjunction with her clinical work, Dr. Bree serves as an adjunct instructor at the University of Tennessee, University of West Florida, and Walden University. In 2016, she was awarded Educator of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers Northwest Unit of Florida. In 2022, she was awarded Excellent Teacher as a Community Based Instructor with the University of Tennessee. Dr. Bree provides supervision and consultation to graduate students pursuing their graduate degrees in social work and individuals post-graduation with their Master’s of Social Work (MSW). Dr. Bree has co-authored a chapter about the integration of family therapy within the therapeutic green space of nature.
